How Do I Know if I have Spinal Stenosis?

Symptoms of spinal stenosis are quite similar to other conditions that involve nerve compression. Spinal stenosis in the neck will cause pain to radiate into the arms, with numbness and tingling sensations as well. When spinal stenosis is seen in the lower back, patients will feel symptoms in their legs. Symptoms will include pain that radiates along the nerve path, with increased pain when standing or walking, as well as numbness and tingling sensations. As the condition progresses, muscular weakness, loss of reflexes, and sometimes a condition known as foot drop can develop.
